The fund supports the Lab's Community Fellows Program in which community activists, scholars, and practitioners are engaged in fellowship opportunities on campus. The fellows participate in projects and other scholarly work that promote democratic engagement, shared wealth generation, and urban sustainability.

The Ross Silberberg (1990) Memorial Fund supports travel grants and a bi-annual lecture in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP) to explore the interaction of design and social justice.
