Gifts to establish an endowed fund, with the income to provide graduate student financial support in the School of Architecture + Planning, with preference for female students interested in applying design to solve complex problems.

Used to seed new research initiatives, especially those employing students.

Gifts from alumni/ae and friends for the discretionary use in the Center for Advanced Urbanism (CAU).

Gifts from alumni/ae and friends to support graduate student research covering a broad field of investigation into city design or theoretical propositions about the form of cities, in the field of architecture and urbanism. The Fund income will provide awards to students in the School of Architecture and Planning to conduct such research, and may be used for travel, materials, and other associated research costs.

Gifts of alumni/ae and friends to support the Metropolitan Warehouse renovation.

The William J. Mitchell ++ Fund honors the late Bill Mitchell, dean of SA+P from 1992 – 2003. It will be used to support student travel and research projects that embody Mitchell’s spirit of creativity, playfulness and rigor, particularly those that connect different disciplines in novel ways.
