Please note that instructions differ for U.S. and foreign funds.
U.S. currency
Gifts in U.S. dollars may be wired directly from your bank to MIT’s
bank by providing your bank with the following wire transfer instructions:

It is critical when making a wire transfer that you alert MIT in advance
so that the gift will be properly credited when received at MIT’s
bank. To advise of an anticipated wire transfer, please send a fax, letter,
or e-mail to the Office of the Recording Secretary (see contact information
below) with the following information:
Name of donor
Amount of wire transfer
Purpose of gift
Name/location of sending bank
Approximate date of expected transfer
Foreign currency
Gifts to be made in a foreign currency need special wire transfer instructions. Advance
details are required in order for MIT to make appropriate arrangements
with the bank to accept your gift. If you will be wiring the funds
in foreign currency, please send a fax or e-mail to the Office of the
Recording Secretary (see contact information below) with the following
information:
Name of donor
Amount of wire transfer
SPECIFIC CURRENCY (i.e., Japanese yen, Euro dollars/Euros, Swedish
krona, etc.)
Purpose of gift
Name/location of sending bank
Date of expected transfer (exact date is important for foreign
currency transfers)
All currencies
Please send all U.S. or foreign bank wire transfer
