Thank you to the volunteers and donors who raised $4,070 this past fall for Public Service Center Exhibition Grants! Those donations helped fund travel costs for six MIT students to do public service work abroad over IAP. Check out the pictures and stories about their experiences. After only one week of fundraising, 844 MIT students donated to this great cause—that’s 27% of the underclassmen student body! Congrats to the Class of 2012 for earning the highest participation rate with 32% of the class raising nearly $1,400!

If you did not have a chance to make your gift in the fall, you are in luck—the second half of the Underclassmen Giving Campaign will occur this week from April 6-10 in lobby 10! Take a minute to make a secure gift here online or in lobby 10 and help more MIT students do public service work abroad this summer. The class with the most donors by the end of the campaign will not only win bragging rights, but will also receive some press in The Tech.

Don’t forget that current Alumni Association president Toni Schuman ’58 offered to challenge the freshmen, sophomores and juniors this year. Toni has agreed to match all dollars raised in the Underclassmen Giving Campaign—up to $5,000! This means that every gift made during this academic year can have double the value and double the impact on the PSC!

Show your pride for MIT and your class by supporting the Underclassmen Giving Campaign, and leave a bill for good will!
