The Participation Factor

A philanthropic initiative led by MIT alumni.

Alumni participation in giving is powerful proof of an institution’s greatness, and its worthiness of support. Yet despite its excellence, MIT ranks middle of the road in alumni participation.

A movement is afoot to change this, and MIT alumni are leading the way.

Purpose

To reflect MIT’s standard of excellence through enthusiastic annual alumni participation.

Goal

To raise this year’s alumni participation to:

  • 36% for undergraduate alumni (approximately 20,000 donors)
  • 23% for graduate alumni (approximately 11,500 donors)
