Science graduate fellowships
More than ever, graduate students are essential to the continued preeminence of the School of Science. No surprise, then, that the School has renewed its commitment to graduate student support.
Through the prestigious Science Presidential Fellows program, donors may support any entering graduate student selected for the program—or, if desired, they may indicate a preferred field of study. Other endowed fellowships offer the chance to support generations of important work in a specific field or department.
Science Presidential Fellows (cost to endow):
- One year’s tuition and a stipend for one first-year student every year—$1 million
Endowed fellowships:
- Two semesters’ tuition and a stipend for one student—$1 million
The School of Science also seeks to create an exciting and competitive post-doctoral program—the MIT Science Fellows—tailored to meet the needs of intellectually curious young people pursuing work of exceptional promise. An endowment of $36 million would support 24 fellows for three-year appointments.
